Pastor Brian W. Thomas
Pastor Thomas received his divinity training from Christ College and Concordia Seminary. He is a Thinking Fellow of 1517.org and has written books for New Reformation Publications and Creative Communications for the Parish including his latest, Clothed with Christ: A Biblical Styleguide for Sinners. Additionally, he is host of Church Matters, a YouTube channel that provides an introduction to life inside the church. As a former naval officer, he loves serving our active duty and retired veterans here in San Diego. Contact the office to schedule pastoral services including private confession, baptism, catechesis, confirmation, and pre-marital counseling.

Deaconess Doris Snashall
Deaconess Doris Snashall is a graduate of Concordia University, Irvine where she holds an MBA and a Master of Arts in Theology. She earned her Deaconess Certification from Concordia University, Chicago. Deaconess was consecrated and installed at Grace Lutheran in September 2007. She is married to Pastor Gleason and they share their cozy little Coronado home with three cozy lap cats. She loves teaching children and adults and takes delight in visiting our seniors. Deaconess feels blessed to serve the people of Grace.

Music Director/Organist, Dale Sorenson
Dale began organ lessons in grade school and went on to receive a music degree at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Concurrently he served an apprenticeship in pipe organ building. Dale has worked with L.W. Blackinton & Assoc. pipe organ builders since 1984. He has been Curator of the Spreckels organ in Balboa Park since 2015 and is also on the Executive Board of the American Guild of Organists, San Diego Chapter. Prior to coming to Grace Lutheran, Dale served as organist/choirmaster at Pilgrim (now Victory) and Trinity Lutheran churches.
Office Manager, Elsy Lehman
Elsy Lehman joined the staff at Grace Lutheran in September 2025 and serves as our Office Manager. She and her husband Carl are blessed with three children: one son and two daughters. Raised in the Catholic tradition, Elsy discovered the Lutheran faith as an adult and found her home at Grace during the COVID pandemic. Her journey into the LCMS has enriched her passion for Christian community and service, and she looks forward to supporting the ministry and welcoming every member and visitor with a friendly smile.
